Puppy Kindergarten (for puppies 12-20 weeks) – Puppies learn important foundation behaviors and skills including: attention and focus, sit, down, relax on a mat, foundations of loose leash walking, drop, recall, wait at a boundary, and targeting. Pet parents learn how to train their puppies using positive reinforcement and clicker training and how to address normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, digging, play biting and jumping. In class, I will also discuss dog “calming signals”–the behaviors dogs exhibit which communicate how they are feeling.
