  Bobbie is studying nutrition & kineseology at Mira Costa College, as well as getting her certification as a yoga teacher.  As if she weren't busy enough she also runs a surfing school in Oceanside with her fiance. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats at home who benefit from her growing knowledge.

  

  Aubrey

  Customer Consultant
  Aubrey is an accomplished horsewoman, having started as a youngster and trained in high airs dressage. She’s works with rescue groups helping horses and dogs, and has also worked with exotic species. Her dog China Cat benefits from homemade food, and Aubrey believes it’s been a healing and bonding experience to holistically care for her pet. She’s currently attending SDSU in Communications. “I find that by helping our pets get back to their true nature, we in turn can return to our own.”

  

  Jytte

  Jytte is originally from Denmark, but has been living here in Carlsbad for 20 years. She's always had pets, and is currently down to only 1 horse, 1 dog, and 1 lizard (though her 2 kids may count as well!). She was inspired by family health issues to attend the Southern California Academy of Homeopathy, and opened her own home clinic as a homeopathic practitioner. She continues her education in holistic wellness and nutrition for people and dogs.

  Assitant Pack Leader - Carlsbad
  Jamie was a groomer before coming to Dexter's. Her calm demeanor is so helpful for nervous pets visiting the store. She has her own gang at home, dogs Sage and Myrrh, and cat Kinky.

  Customer Consultant 
  Josh has a knack for great customer service and we love having him as part of Team Dexter. He is a certified personal trainer, and is committed to improving the quality of life for people and their pets. Josh is owned by an orange Maine Coon Cat mix named Jack.
  

  

  Paige

  Pack Leader
  Paige is an avid animal lover and has always had an interest in natural health for people.  She has her B.A. in Holistic Healing through Mind & Body from San Francisco State University, and is certified as an Herbalist by the Natural Healing Institute in Encinitas.  Many of you know Paige for her excellent customer service and knowledge of natural health for pets.  Paige shares her home with Jack, a handsome orange cat .

  Katie's passion for helping and working with animals began when she got her first dog, a Dachshund, in 2nd grade.  Since then she's been involved with Dachshund rescue and has been both a pet sitter and dog trainer locally.  She currently has 3 Dachshunds, an Ibizan Hound and 3 tabby cats.  Katie's true passion is deaf dogs - both in rescue and helping educate people on what amazing pets they can be!

  Stephanie is a long-time animal owner, so don't let her youth fool you. She grew up riding, and now owns two dogs. She's always had an interest in natural wellness, and is currently pursuing her certification as a yoga teacher. She sees a clear connection between how we care for ourselves and how we care for our dogs, and strives to connect the two in her own life.

  Elizabeth is originally from Ireland, but has been living here in San Diego for many years. Her own business, Crusaders 4 A Pristine Animal World, gives her the opportunity to help people create a more healthful home for themselves and their animals as a "pet environmentalist." She also offers pet hospice & bereavement support and is a member of the Association for Pet Loss & Bereavement. She has received training at San Diego Hospice as well as working for local holistic vet Dr. Tamara Hebbler. Her 2 dogs and 1 cat appreciate her loving and intuitive care. Her dream is to change how people perceive animals and to elevate pet care to the level of human care and beyond.

  Stephanie is the creative spirit of our Del Mar store. An avid hiker with her dog Bella and her husband, she loves spending time outdoors.

  

  Owen

  Customer Consultant
  Owen, originally from Florida, is our resident surfer.  Always ready to lend a helping hand to our customers, and a helping of treats to their dogs. His dog Butter is back in Florida with Owen's mom, and he misses her a lot (can't you tell from the photo?)

  

  Reni

  Customer Consultant
  Reni graduated from Ohio State University and went on to work in many different fields, but she has always come back to her real passion; animals.  Reni has had her own local pet-sitting and dog day care businesses and anyone who meets her here at Dexter's can tell immediately that she has a real love for our four-legged customers.  She and her husband share their home with Katie, a now 3-year-old German Shepherd, adopted from Westside German Shepherd Rescue of L.A.

  Lead Educator
  Margarat has over 20 years of professional experience with dogs and has combined this knowledge with continuing studies in holistic health. Margarat has her own K9 wellness care business, The Art of Dog, offering acupressure, herbal foods, and other services. She is a member of the American Herbalists Guild, among other professional organizations, and has a Master of Fine Arts degree from UCSD. She escapes annually to a family cabin in the woods of New Hampshire to enjoy the local lake with her dog Vida.

  Accountant
  Christine has been the bookkeeper for Dexter's Deli since 1998.  She enjoys bringing her shih tzu brothers, Kona & Hula, to the office with her.  She lives downtown and in the morning she puts the boys' seatbelt halters on, straps them in, and away they go for a fun day at Dexter's!  It's a great place to work!!

  

  Dexter

  The store mascot and “true” owner of Dexter’s Deli, passed away in December, 2010 at the age of 17.
  Dexter was a beautiful soul. He had a blessed life, starting out as an adopted pound puppy from Missouri and becoming the mascot for his own natural pet stores. Dexter had a spirit for adventure and a zest for life that carried him all the way to the end. Not only was he a loyal companion to Tori and her family, he was a teacher for all of us, our lives and our pet's lives all the richer because of his flame. What a life he had, one of fun and silly Dexter moments, and his role as a trailblazer and living affirmation of the magnificent force of the holistic human/animal experience. Dexter will be forever sewn into our hearts and we are all so very grateful to of had him touch our lives.

  

  Tori Rosay

  Tori Rosay - Owner of Dexter’s Deli

  Originally from Orange County, California, Tori moved to Del Mar from St. Louis, Missouri in 1996 to open a natural pet store. "I immediately fell in love with this dog-friendly town where there were dogs on every corner," she says. Dexter’s Deli was the very first store in San Diego to sell natural foods for pets and has since helped pioneer the health food movement for pets in San Diego. She has been feeding her own pets a fresh raw food diet for 16 years and has a background in nutrition. Along with owning Dexter's Deli, Tori has a second full-time job at home with 2 young children. Tori's follows a natural holistic lifestyle for herself, her family, and business.
